Once we believe in ourselves, we can risk curiosity, wonder, spontaneous delight, or any experience that reveals the human spirit. – strongE.E. Cummings/strong

Know yourself and you will win all battles. – strongSun Tzu/strong

One important key to success is self-confidence. A key to self-confidence is preparation. – strongArthur Ashe/strong

strongTry and smile, /strongthatworks and you feel instantly better when you smile, and it will help you to be kinder to others as well, not a bad investment of your time and energy, for something that can actually start a chain reaction.

strongFocus on solutions/strong instead of problems is one of the best things you can do for your confidence and your career.

strongChange a small habit you have/strongstrong,/strongnot a big one, like quitting smoking, just a small one, like writing things down. Make sure it’s something small that you know you can do and do it for a month, and when you’ve accomplished it, you’ll feel fantastic and in control.

strongSet a small goal for yourself and achieve it/strongstrong, /stronga goal you emknow/em you can achieve, and then achieve it and you’ll feel good about that. Now set another small goal and achieve that and the more you achieve small goals, the better you’ll be at it, and the better you’ll feel, and soon you’ll be setting bigger (but still achievable) goals and achieving those too.

strongIncrease your competence/strong by studying and practicing small bits at a time, for example if you want to be a more competent writer, just begin to write more, like a journal, blog, short stories, and freelance writing, and understand that the more you write, the better you’ll be, so set aside 30 minutes a day to write (for example), and the practice will increase your competence.

strongYou must stand tall/strongstrong, /strongand remind yourself often to stand tall and straight, and you will feel better about yourself, and take notice that people who stand tall and confident are more attractive with the confident look and that’s a good thing.

strongBe sure and speak slowly/strongstrong,/strong to make a big difference in how others perceive you, and understand that a person in authority or with authority most often speaks slowly, as it shows their confidence, and a person who feels that they aren’t worth listening to will speak quickly and quietly, because they don’t want to keep others waiting on something not worth listening to.

strongKnow your principles and live by them/strongstrong, /strongand if you don’t know, you will have trouble, because your life feels directionless.

strongGet yourself prepared/strong as much as possible, because if you’re prepared you’ll be much more confident.

strongYou should be kind and generous /strongwith yourself, your time, and what you have, a tremendous way to improve your self-image, and when you start to feel good about yourself, and to think that you are a good person, it does wonders for your self-confidence.

strongYou should act positive/strongstrong,/strong as action actually is the key to developing self-confidence, and understanding that it’s one thing to learn to think positive, but when you start acting on it, you change yourself, because you are what you do, and so if you change what you do, you change what you are. Instead of telling yourself you can’t, be positive and talk to people in a positive way, while you put energy into your actions you’ll soon start to notice a difference.

strongYou must get to know yourself/strongstrong, both good and bad,/strong when you’re trying to overcome a negative self-image and replace it with self-confidence, your enemy is yourself. Dig deep within yourself, and you’ll come out (eventually) with even greater self-confidence.

strongKill negative thoughts about yourself/strong and learn to be aware of your self-talk, the thoughts you have about yourself and what you’re doing, and replace any negative thoughts with positive ones only.
