The Zen of Success – Invest

Posted by on Jan 14, 2013 in The Zen Of Success

The Successful always manage to invest, even in tumultuous markets, as they understand how to recognize opportunities and the need to take risks with their money in order to give it the ability to work as hard as they do and for the good and benefit of one and all, by allowing their money to grow and be used to create wealth.

strongBuddha said:/strong “Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations. Do not believe anything because it is spoken and rumored by many. Do not believe in anything because it is written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and the benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it.”

strongYour Mind creates money, /strong”We are what we think,” Buddha says. “Our thoughts create our world.” The truly Successful strive to and create long-term wealth, which is the best for the benefit of everyone.

strongAlways be mindful that being rich is ‘nothing special’, /strongAncient Zen masters warned students that enlightenment is “nothing special,” and neither is having a million dollars.

strongInvestors play a game, /strongRemember that Buddha said: “Believe nothing, no matter where you read it or who has said it, not even if I have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense.”

strongYou are centered within, /strongThe futures is never clear and always changes, so you should focus on, and buy value; try to never sell, as it’s very easy to see what’s going to happen over the long term, as you watch the value grow.

strongAlways think with the mind of a beginner, /strongZen thinking says, “Zen mind, beginner’s mind.”

strongou must be at peace with your dark side and remember, /strongIt takes many, many years to build a reputation and only five minutes to ruin it, and so if you think about that, you’ll do things differently to maintain both your integrity and reputation.

strongYou must understand that wealth building is really all about building character; /strongSuccessfulinvestors never forget that excitement and expenses are their enemies, and success is getting what you want, while happiness is wanting what you get.

strongYou should know the only true guru is within you,/strong Zen thinking warns that “If you meet the Buddha on the road, kill him.” Why? You must understand that Buddha is never “out there,” but within you.

strongYours is a never-ending journey of self-discovery, /strongYou can only make decisions to do things when the opportunities come along, so you must learn to recognize them when they present themselves to you, and you really only have to do a very few things right in your life, so long as you don’t do too many things wrong.

strongYou’re on Earth for a reason/strong, not just to get rich, as the journey of your self-discovery never ends.

strongUnderstand the secret power within you, /strongIt is true that we enjoy the process far more than the proceeds and either understand the Zen first, or completely don’t get it. The secret is really very simple, independent thinking and your inner peace. “I can only to point the way for you,” Buddha says. “Be a lamp unto yourself.” And if you wonder how you’ll ever know if you understand the “Zen first” secret (because Buddha also says, “You may be enlightened but never know it”), the Zen is within you.
